If you think having a relationship will cure all your problems and insecurity, it’s because you’ve begun to worship the idea of a relationship rather than really see relationships. There is no relationship that will fix how you see yourself. If you hate yourself, if you have low self esteem, if you doubt who you are and your purpose, a relationship will amplify those feelings.

Remember when pride was a protest? The whole thing has become sanitized, colonized by corporations and sold to cishet people as a neatly packaged queer culture for consumption. It’s been slowly becoming another empty-sentiment rainbow draped capitalist product for years now, neatly cordoned off behind fences and with uniformed police marching in step in what should be a protest against power.
Honestly I think lgbtq communities need to start organizing their own, community-driven pride events that haven’t been overrun by agents of the status quo looking to dilute and exploit them.
I’m seeing someone say that the ticket price is potentially only for the actual concert part, or all access or some-such, but honestly that doesn’t make it much better.
I feel like a lot of people tend to forget that the antivax movement is the result of ableism and a hatred of autistic people especially autistic children. It’s not based off of a “trend” it’s core reason for being a “thing” is because of ableism, so like…yeah make fun of antivaxers but can we please remember that they are always ableist pieces of garbage that would rather their child die slowly and painfully from a preventable disease than live and be autistic.
